After many years of traveling to school in the Newmarket area and searching for something closer to home, we realized that there was no alternative to the mainstream public education system for children in Georgina. In consultation with other families, a need for a pre-k Montessori school featuring English and French instruction, and a Christian, student-focused, low ratio elementary and high school was seen.
Georgina Academy is the first private school in Georgina and the only alternative to mainstream public education in the area. We offer high-quality, low ratio Christian education for children from 2.8-11 years old. A highly sought-after Montessori program is offered from 2.8-6 years and Individual Mastery Level Christian Education curriculum from grade 1-6. Grades 7-12 are planned for the future. We place an emphasis on French language education through conversational learning in addition to the normal curriculum..

At Georgina Academy we focus on the whole student—social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development are all considered. Our challenging curricula allow for children to work, develop and learn at their own individual pace, giving them the opportunity to process and internalize what they are learning, thereby following each child’s interests and encouraging self-discovery. Our academic standards are established and evaluated in relation to the potential of each student. This educational philosophy strives to encourage a love for learning, allowing children to remain perpetually curious about the people and the world around them, and seeing learning as an enjoyable life-long process.
Our foundation is developing character through biblical values. At Georgina academy, we strive to develop children spiritually and help them grow into well-rounded adults using the Christian values of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Our goal is to provide our students with the skills necessary to develop physically, socially, and especially spiritually in order to fulfill their future potential.
Through the spiritual, social, and emotional development of our students, Georgina Academy enhances the positive attitudes, self-discipline, and moral behaviors of all children in our care. Our mission as Christian educators is to guide students in their pursuit of knowledge of the word of God and recognizing His hand in all things physical and spiritual.
Our daily emphasis on physical activity, healthy eating, and beneficial habits encourages children to take responsibility for the development of their growing bodies. Georgina Academy offers various activities throughout the year based on local availability.
Our curriculum provides insight into local and global issues, and we encourage students to participate in local community programs and international aid efforts.
